William Thomas Vazquez
Funeral for William Thomas Vazquez, 64, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at the Lawton/Fort Sill First United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Rodney Shirel officiating.
Mr. Vasquez passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at his home in Lawton.
He was born Oct. 14, 1953, in Moca, Puerto Rico, to Jose M. and Lucy Vazquez. William graduated from MacArthur High School and later earned a Bachelor's Degree in mathematics from Cameron University. He served in the Air Force for two years and worked as a computer programmer for most of his career. He enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. He loved his friends and family and his dog, Candy. William will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
William is survived by his wife, Carolyn Vazquez; his three children, daughter, Rachel Arnold and her husband Adam, Lawton, sons, Robert Vazquez, Lawton, and William J. Vazquez and wife Lauren, Lawton; two stepdaughters, Fallon Brinson and Amy Brinson; nine grandchildren, Aaron Vazquez, Selena Vazquez, Mitchell Vazquez, Elizabeth Vazquez, Robert Vazquez Jr., Brayden Halberg, Mason Coates, Holden Vazquez and Mirabelle Vazquez; a brother, Jose M. Vazquez, Lawton; two sisters, Eva Vazquez, Columbia, Mo., and Elsa McWatters and husband Bruce, Sandia Park, N.M.; and many nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parentsand his sister-in-law, Anne Vazquez.
