Susan Ann Long
Memorial service for Susan Ann Long, 57, Lawton, will be at 2 pm. Thursday at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Pastor Walter Wilson officiating.
She died at her home Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in Lawton.
Susan was born July 17, 1956, in Incheon, Korea, to Hi Ja (Won) and Richard H. Mantzke. At the age of 2 she left Korea as a member of a military family and lived in many places, both overseas and stateside. She attended school in many places graduating from Frankfurt High School Department of Defense Education Activity in Frankfurt, Germany. She attended Angelo State University, in San Angelo, Texas, earning a bachelor's degree. She worked for AT&T, Telos, Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, N.M., and for CGI for many years. She was very creative and loved arts and crafts, especially knitting and quilting. She also enjoyed reading and playing video games.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hi Ja Mantzke; and sister, Cecilia Mantzke.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Satterfield and her husband Thomas, of Puyallup, Wash.; father, Richard H. Mantzke, of Lawton; five brothers: Henry Mantzke and his wife Patricia, of Lawton; Herman Mantzke, of Edmond; Chong Hwang and his wife Amy, Heung Hwang, and Bernard Mantzke, all of Lawton; one sister, Cathy Hipp and her husband Jon, of Fairfax, Va.; a special friend, Elise Seabolt and her husband Jim, of Lawton. She has many loving family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
