Sidney Ray Lacy

Celebration of life for Sidney Ray Lacy will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Sidney Ray Lacy, 59, longtime resident of Elgin, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Sid was born on July 19, 1959 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was raised in the military and lived in multiple states and Europe throughout his life. Sid was a carpenter by trade but was also a talented musician, artist, mechanic and tax return preparer. He had many other talents too numerous to list and he could do anything he set his mind to. He loved all sports but football and especially NASCAR were his favorites. He enjoyed fast cars and being outdoors with family and friends, pool time, rock hunting, singing karaoke, fishing, and sending pictures of flowers to Darlene with his cell phone.

Sid is survived by his soul mate Darlene Butler of Elgin, his children, Pauline McDaniel and husband Paul of West Virginia, Patrick (Lacy) Hayden of Purcell, Shannon Lytle of Lawton, Sarah Ingram and husband Tommy of Elgin, Jeff Butler of Elgin and Jason Butler of Lawton, 7 grandchildren, two sisters, Cindy Santos and Lynnelle Rivera of Altus, one niece, four nephews, two grand nieces, two grand nephews and many other family members.

Sid was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Gwynneth Marvle and his grandparents, R.D. Bentley and Marjorie Henson.
