Ruth E. Trierweiler
ELGIN Graveside service for Ruth E. Trierweiler, 88, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, with the Rev. Dr. William F. Watkins, pastor of Locust Grove Baptist Church, east of Lawton, officiating.
She passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at her home in Lawton.
Burial will be under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
Ruth E. Trierweiler was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Wausau, Wis., to August and Libby (Stasney) Habeck. She married retired Sgt. 1st Class Oliver W. Trierweiler on Nov. 28, 1952, in Pine City, Minn. She accompanied her husband on moves due to his military service. Ruth worked at Conner Lumber and Land Company in Wausau, Wis., as a payroll clerk and switchboard operator. She worked at JC Penney's in the shoe department and after her husband's retirement they both worked as baggers at the Fort Sill Commissary.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and never missed any of her grandson's sporting events or school activities. She loved polka music, yodeling and racing. Ruth also won several skating medals and trophies.
She is survived by her daughter, Trudy Kastner and husband Ronald, Lawton; three grandchildren: Kayle Kastner and wife Melissa, Lawton, Bear Kastner, Lawton, and Kody Kastner and wife Courtney, Lawton; nine great-grandchildren: Tyler, Trevor, Ethan, Hunter, Logan, Kaden, Leighton, Morgan, and Kimber; and one sister, Nancy VanSlyke, Rochester, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
