Funeral for Rosa Tucker, 79, of Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Dawson, First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill.
Rosa passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in Lawton.
Rosa was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Wilhermsdorf, Germany, to George and Paula Roth Hitz. She grew up in Germany, where she attended school. She married Roy Lee Tucker on March 10, 1956, in Germany and they moved to the United States, traveling with the military. They returned to Germany and later made Lawton their home in the early 1960s. Roy passed away on Nov. 22, 1996. Rosa enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her family and will be missed by all.
She is survived by two daughters: Diana Dickson and Pamela Marrero, both of Lawton; four sons: Steve Tucker and Raymond Tucker, both of Lawton; Peter Hitz, of Germany; and Albert Tucker, of Greenville, Texas; her sister, Inge Hodges and her husband Don, of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren: Yolanda Dickson, Michael Dickson, Marco Dickson, Shawn Wegner, Tonya Tucker and Billy Roy Tucker; her great-granddaughter, Tyneshia Dickson; a great-great-grandson, Jordan Dickson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Lee Tucker; her brothers; Leonhardt Hitz, Willie Hitz, Kurt Hitz, Otto Hitz, and Ewald Hitz; and her great-granddaughters: Tiarra Ann Dickson and Juanita Fierro.
Viewing will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
