FLETCHER Funeral for Rodney Steele, 67, Fletcher, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Fletcher Assembly of God church with Brother Meyer officiating.
Mr. Steele passed away on Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, in Elgin.
Burial will be at Elgin Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at the funeral home.
Rodney Steele was born Nov. 12, 1950, in Wynnewood to Harvey and Oleta Moore Steele. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1969. He married Gwyn Steele on July 3, 1969, and the two were blessed with three children. Rodney worked as a self-employed carpenter, as well as a plumber, and at Kelly Moore for around 13 years. Rodney loved tinkering with airplanes, vehicles and tractors. He enjoyed antiques, remodeling houses and shooting guns.
He is survived by a daughter, Regina Turner and her husband Michael, Inola; a son, Brandon Steele and his wife Loren, Sterling; a brother, Gary Steele, Lawton; three sisters: Virginia Dunmire and her husband Andrew, Okemah, Linda Monreal and her husband Roger, of California, and Tammy Snow and her husband Ricky, Sterling; seven grandchildren: Dillon, Devin, Raegan, and Kennedy Turner, Madison, Savannah, and Mackenzie Steele; and his ex-wife, Gwyn Steele.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Steele; his parents; and a brother, Bobby Steele.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fletcher Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
