Funeral services for Polly Paralee Parker will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Indiahoma First Baptist Church with Rev. Les Banks, Pastor of Tipton First Baptist Church and Scott Patton, Indiahoma officiating.
Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Indiahoma under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton.
Polly Paralee (Ethell) Parker, 93, Indiahoma, passed away Saturday morning, Dec 1, 2018, in a Lawton hospital.
She was born November 15, 1925, in rural Manitou, Oklahoma, to Ellis and Helen (Triplett) Ethell. She attended Horsecreek, Snyder and Indiahoma schools where she graduated in 1943.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Loyd Parker, Jr., February 16, 1944. After she and Elmer were married they made their home north of Indiahoma. Polly was a homemaker and worked as a secretary at Indiahoma schools for 28 years. Polly was a member of Indiahoma First Baptist Church for 68 years where she taught Sunday school, played piano, served as treasurer and was still serving as clerk at the time of her death.
She is survived by three daughters: Shirley Dodd of Indiahoma, Toni Coakley and husband Jerry of Altus, Susan Rutter and husband Rocky of Norman, six grandchildren Tim (Casii) Dodd of Walkersville, Maryland, David (Shilo) Dodd of Indiahoma, Meagan Coakley of Choctaw, Kristi (Levi) Fry of Sentinel, Jeep Rutter of OKC, Jessica (Mike) Ross of Tuttle, ten great-grandchildren Zach, Kirsten, Ashley Dodd, Kylee Dodd, Lawson, Casey, and Cash Perry, Sutton Fry , Parker and Nathan Ross, and sister-in-law Dorothy Eby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, two sisters and her son-in-law Carroll Dodd.
