WICHITA FALLS, Texas Memorial service for former Grandfield and Frederick resident Patsy Helen Evins, 75, Wichita Falls, Texas, will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Orr Gray Gish Chapel, Frederick, with the Rev. Ronnie Morgan, pastor of Tesca Baptist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Evins passed away Monday, Nov.13, 2017, at a Wichita Falls, Texas, skilled nursing care center.
She was born Dec. 10, 1941, in Grandfield, to Marion and Jodie (McDowell) Sisk. She attended school at Manitou, Davidson and Grandfield with the Class of 1959. She married Frank Carl Harger on Dec.13, 1961, in Frederick. She was later united in marriage to Joseph Evins on March 4, 1975, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She lived in Rush Springs and Grandfield before moving to Frederick in 2004. She worked as a caregiver and also as a waitress. She was a huge Elvis fan and loved his music and his movies. She also enjoyed Bingo and arts and crafts. She was a devoted Christian and loved to attend Bible Studies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Katrina Nunn, in 1997; and a brother, Jim Sisk, in 2003.
Survivors include a son, William "Billy" Harger, of Pauls Valley; three daughters: Connie Harger, of Frederick, Peggy Sue Leath and husband Brian, of Macon, Mo., and Judy Nunn and fiancÈ Harold Vaughn, of Cement; several stepchildren to include stepson, Joseph Evins Jr. and wife Jennifer Dupree, of Abilene, Texas; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
