Mary Trotter Bush

Mary Trotter Bush died at her residence surrounded by family on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the age of 61. Mary was born August 8, 1957 in Melbourne, Florida to Clyde and Sally (Spencer) Simmons. She grew up in North Carolina and graduated high school in King Mountain, North Carolina. She attended community college where she studied art prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army. She served two years in the U.S. Army and was among the first women to serve with the Lance Missile Guidance System.

Following her discharge she worked various jobs including Royal Optical and a bingo hall. While working at the bingo hall she met her husband, Robert L. Bush. They were married on October 13, 1995 in Lawton. She enjoyed art and had attended Trinity Assembly of God.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Bush; three children, Kenny Stickel and wife K.T., Casey Bush and Jessica McClees and husband Dillon; six grandchildren, Aubrey, Jaylin, Evie, Tanner, Ryker and Savanna; two brothers, Buck Burton and Carl Burton; and her sister, Marsha Simmons.

Her parents preceded her in death.
