Makiko Wilson

Word has been received of the death of Makiko Wilson, 85, Lawton.

At her request, no service will be held. 

Makiko Wilson died Thursday, May 10, 2018, at her home in Lawton. She was born Dec. 1, 1932, in Pong Yong, South Korea, to Yutaka and Yoshino Takeishi.

Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

She married James R. Wilson in Tokyo on June 14, 1954, and the two were married for 53 years before James' passing on Feb. 3, 2008. In addition to raising three children, Mrs. Wilson was a Red Cross volunteer at Fort Sill for many years. She was an excellent seamstress and could repair almost any broken item that was handed to her. She will be missed.

She is survived by her children, Peggy Monteilh, James L. Wilson and Ruth Vechionne and grandchildren.
