Funeral service for Karen Marie McGavic will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nick Lovenburg, Pastor of Freedom Christian Fellowship, Lawton officiating.
Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.
Karen Marie McGavic, 65, Elgin, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 2, 2019. She was born February 19, 1954 in Medford, Oregon to James and Ethel (Miller) Cain. She married John McGavic on November 2, 1974 in Graham, Texas. He passed away November 3, 2011. She was a member of and Deaconess in the Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Lawton.
Karen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, faithful Christian and loyal friend to many. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her two sons, John Scott McGavic, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Elgin, Oklahoma, Michael McGavic and his wife Lindsay of Grapevine, Texas, her grandson John Scott McGavic, III, her brother James F. Cain, Jr. and his wife Linda of St. Louis, Missouri, brother David Cain of Tow, Texas, several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister Edrith Dellinger.
