Jonathan Van Trujillo

Jonathan Van Trujillo 38 of Elgin went to his heavenly home on Sunday in Lawton with his loving family by his side.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday November 7, 2019 at Mt. Scott KCA Cemetery with Gordon Whitewolf officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12PM until 5PM.

Jonathan was born June 7, 1981 in Ft. Carson, Colorado to Johnny and Clarice (Kopepasah) Trujillo.

Jonathan was a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma and was of Kiowa and Mexican Decent. He was on the National Honor Society and Cameron University Alumni. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He enjoyed the Denver Bronco’s and the CU Buffalos, and the OKC Thunder, loved his music, Cadillac’s, car shows, being with his family and friends. He loved his cats Blue, Happy and Gracie.

He worked at the Ft. Sill Apache Casino and previously at Comanche Casino.

He is survived by: parents Johnny and Clarice Trujillo of Elgin; brother Abel M. Trujillo and his fiancé Britney Nibbs of Lawton; uncles and aunts: Sandra Trujillo, Arthur and Debra Trujillo; Victor and Joyce Kopepassah, Michelle Kopepassah; niece, Nalani; nephew Elijah; cousin Candida Ferrer and Sonny Whitewolf.

He is preceded in death by: grandparents: Ernest and Yvonne Trujillo and Oris and Helen Chasenah; aunts and uncles: Terase J. Whitewolf; Alfred R. Kopepassah.
