Jerry "Jeep" Moody

Graveside service for Jerry "Jeep" Moody, 82, Cyril, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Fort Sill National Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Crittendon officiating.  

Mr. Moody passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, in Lawton.

Jerry Lee "Jeep" Moody was born Oct. 6, 1935, to Ret and Nell (Witten) Moody. Jerry served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War from Oct. 7, 1953, until he retired Sept. 30, 1976.  During his 23 years of service, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, the Expert Rifle Marksmanship, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm.  Jerry enjoyed attending the local high school basketball games and fishing. Jerry will be dearly missed by all.

Jerry is survived by a daughter, Jane Walker, of Oklahoma; three sons: Steven Moody and his wife Lisa, of Georgia, Mikel Craig Moody, of Oklahoma, and Jerry Chad Moody and his wife Courtney, of Georgia; three grandchildren: Justin Moody and his wife Lauren, Thomas Moody, and Allison Moody, all of Georgia; a great-grandchild, Greyson Moody, of Georgia; a sister, Vera Clour, Ratliff City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Alvin Moody.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Fletcher Funeral Home.
