Funeral service for Jacqueline L. “Jackie” Chavis, 57, of Lawton will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Rosehill Church of Christ with Brother John Brown officiating.
Ms. Chavis passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Lawton.
Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Jackie was born on December 14, 1961 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Calvin and Janice (BroomField) Holmes.
She is survived by her daughter, Ladominica Chavis, of Lawton; her brother, Vernon Holmes, of Germany; four sisters and spouses, Lesley Hobbs and Johnny Monroe, of Lawton, Andrea and Mederic Encalade, of Triangle, VA, Meria and Greg Hill, of Titusville, FL, and Roselyn Holmes, of Lawton; her grandson, DeNicco Chavis, of Lawton; aunts, Glenda Broomfield, Rhonda Blue, Brenda Dorsett, Alice Faye Holmes, and Jackie (Jeffery) James; uncles, Eddie D. Roberson, and Vernon Broomfield, Sr; great aunts, Christine Brown and Dollie Broomfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her former husband, Eddie Dean Chavis; her grandson, Anthony Chavis-Green; uncles, Benny Broomfield, Tommy Broomfield, Arnold Broomfield, Terry Roberson, Ronald Roberson, Ronald Holmes, Edward Holmes, Bill Broomfield, and Ron Dorsett; aunts, Shirley Broomfield, Althea Roberson, Marcella Broomfield, Celeste Robinson, Hazel Broomfield, Dora Fuller, and Cheryl Little; and her cousin, Vernon Broomfield, Jr.
