Helen Curlee Lynn
Helen Curlee Lynn left this Earth on May 23, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born on December 23, 1924 to William and Lula Harvey Curlee in Fate, TX. During WWll she worked at Consolidated Aircraft Corp. in the drafting department and assisted in the production of the B-24 Liberator Heavy Bomber which was used during the War. In 1944 she was accepted into the United States Cadet Nurse Corps. On December 8, 1951, she married Martin Lynn in Austin, TX. They lived in Corpus Christi, TX. She later retired from the Texas Employment Commission.
She was a kind and gentle soul. She loved her family; 4th of July Fireworks, showing her pictures to everyone, and telling stories. She looked forward to band practice nights.
She was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, Joe Curlee; one sister, Elaine Curlee.
Survivors left to cherish her memories include 2 daughters: Penny Amaral and Elaine Miller and her husband Buz; one Son, Kelly Lynn and his wife Karen.
Grandchildren include: Mina Donnelly, Megan Miller, Dillon Miller, Emily Lynn, Molly Knickerbocker, Shannon Degenhardt, and Martin Amaral. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be having a “Celebration of Life” at a later date in Glen Rose, TX. Her family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to everyone at McMahon-Tomilson Nursing Center and Fairth Hospice, for all the kindness and love she received.
