Funeral for Guadalupe Chavez-Quezada, 79, will be at noon Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church.
He passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, surrounded by his family and beloved dog, Bear.
Burial be will at Highland Cemetery under direction of Whinery Huddleston Funeral Services.
Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at Whinery Huddleston Funeral Home Chapel.
Guadalupe Chavez-Quezada was born in El Placer de Guadalupe in Chihuahua, Mexico, on Sept. 7, 1938, to Pablo and Cruz Chavez. He came to the United States in the 80s. He was a car salesman and loved to work on vehicles. He loved to spend time with his family, cookouts and have a good time. Guadalupe also liked to help people in need. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Estela Flores and her husband Aldo, Lawton; his son, Francisco Chavez, Lawton; his daughters, Nancy Sanchez and her husband Fernando, of Nebraska, and Lily McClure and her husband Todd, Lawton; his grandchildren, Melissa Flores, Raquel Flores, Aldo Flores Jr., Denise Chavez, Javier Chavez, Jazmin Sanchez, Yesenia Sanchez, Alonso Sanchez, Xavier McClure and Wyatt McClure; his sister, Gloria Pallares of New Mexico, Maria De Jesus, of Chihuahua, and Jose Maria Chavez, of New Mexico; and many nieces, nephews, godsons and goddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Chavez-Crispin; his brothers, Oscar Chavez and Heriberto Chavez.
