Geneva A. Mora Mopope passed from this life Saturday May 4, 2019 in Oklahoma City with her loving family by her side.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Redstone Baptist church with Pastor Ken Sullivan officiating and Pastor J.T. Goombi assisting.. Burial will be at Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
Prayer Service will be7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel.
Geneva was born in Lawton on March 8, 1937 to Raymond Mora Sr. and Caroline (Harry). She attended Ft. Sill Indian School, Anadarko Public Schools, Caddo Kiowa Technology Center and became an LPN. She later graduated from Cameron University and became an RN. She retired from P.H.S. Indian Health Services in 2002, after working 39 years in the nursing profession.
She is preceded in death by: daughter, Gloria Ann Mopope, two grandsons: Michael Mopope and Daniel Goombi; parents, two sisters: Beatrice Campa and Billie Jean House, brother, Raymond Mora Jr.
She is survived by: husband, George Mopope Sr.; three sons: George Jr., Gerald, Gordon and wife Kay Mopope; two daughters: Shirley Janmohammadi, Pamela Kay and husband Ronnie Birch Jr., and a brother in law, Oscar House Sr.; grandchildren: Michelle and husband LeRoy Head, Jeremy Janmohammadi, Hayley Wade, Stephen Mopope, Michael Mopope, Melody Ybarra, George Ybarra, John Goombi and Michael Miller; great grandchildren: Jada Head, Jaci Head, Jaxen Head and Jaylyn Janmohammadi.
A very special adopted daughter, Myrna Smith and granddaughter Jemma Tartsah. She was also related to many families Florence and James Chasenah, Annie and Robert Coffee, Sally and Rye Fawbush, Rhoda and Leon Motah, Jane Pennah and Jessie Hendrix, many nieces, nephews another family members and friends.
