Fleda Mae Malcom

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. Funeral for former Frederick resident Fleda Mae Malcom, 91, of Siloam Springs, Ark., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Wyatt officiating. 

Burial will follow in Frederick Memorial Cemetery. 
Mrs. Malcom passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Siloam Springs.
Fleda Mae Howard Malcom was born July 30, 1922, in Lawton,  to O.A. and Eva Mae Hutchison Howard. She attended Lawton Public Schools, graduating from Lawton High School. She later attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics. On June 24, 1949, she and Laxton Malcom were united in marriage in Lawton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2003. She was a longtime and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Frederick.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Siemens and her husband Dan, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one son, Keith Malcom, of Alpine, Calif.; and three grandsons: Jacob Siemens, of Fayetteville, Ark.; Jon Siemens, of Dallas; and Joel Siemens, of Fayetteville, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers: J.D., Gene, Don and Jack Howard; and four sisters: Lahoma Wilson, Alice Taliaferro, Jo Jones and Mildred Lee Dossey.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Frederick or the Alzheimer Association in memory of Fleda Mae Malcom.
Mrs. Malcom's children will receive family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Frederick.
