Eva Lee Chambers
Funeral for former Lawton resident Eva Lee Chambers, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Alva with Pastor Louis Garcia officiating.
Interment will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lawton. The casket will remain closed.
Eva Lee Chambers, daughter of the late Carl Julius and Lily (Dickey) Brohammer, was born July 6, 1930, in Cherokee, and passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Alva.
Eva attended Carmen School. In May 1951 she was united in marriage to Jimmie Chambers at Cherokee. She moved to Alva four years ago, after living in Enid for 20 years and Lawton for 30 years. She retired from Cameron University where she worked in the business office.
Eva was a member of the Episcopal Church. While living in Enid, she volunteered at Bass Hospital gift shop. She enjoyed roller skating, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family.
Eva is survived by one daughter, Ginger McLendon, Alva; one sister, Kathryn Ream, Oklahoma City; two grandchildren: Heather Vaughan and husband, Alan, Alva, and Richard McLendon, Enid; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie; one son, Kenneth Chambers; and four siblings.
