Funeral for Bobby J. Dyer, 79, Ninnekah, will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, in Paradise Valley Baptist Church with Ordean Nelson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Gracemont Cemetery under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Fondly remembered by family and friends for wishing them "Happy Trails" rather than goodbye, Bobby J. Dyer, of Lawton, joined his Lord and Savior on Monday, Aug. 6, 2018. He passed after a brief battle with lung cancer.
Bob was born to Ezra and Ruby Dyer on April 10, 1939. He graduated from Gracemont High School in 1958. He married the love of his life, Rita, in 1960. He worked for Hammond Mills Trucking Company, Mobil Oil and the Marriott Corporation before moving to Lawton in 1984.
He managed the Roy Rogers Restaurant until 1988. Bray Properties and Cameron University's Student Union were also under his supervision for years.
He owned antique tractors and participated in events with the Poor Boys Antique Tractor Club for years. He treasured spending time with family. He was a member of Paradise Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Lawson, and husband, Robin, Ninnekah; and Lori Toler, and husband, Terry, Quincy, Mo. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, April and Terry Clay, Lori and Bryan Chinnow, Crystal and Scottie Shawn, Kelsi and Gary Bailey, Lindsey and Justin Lyles, Jayme and Mark Alexander, Lakota Peppel and Brooke, and Jake Lawson; 11 great-grandchildren- Brettney, Patrick, McKenzie, Blaine, Brayden, Easton, Addy, Ranger, Wayne, Brynlea, and Asher; one brother, Ezra Dyer; a large extended family, and friends.
