Angie Lou Drennon Salcido
Funeral for Angie Lou Drennon Salcido, 56, Lawton,will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at Hunting Horse United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bill Foote officiating.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Texas State Veteran's Cemetery, Abilene, Texas, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
She passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, after battling cancer almost two years, with her loving family by her side. Her Kiowa name was "Goat Ma", meaning "Strong Woman."
Angie was born Jan. 28, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Roy H. Drennon and Jeannie Yeahquo Drennon. She grew up in Fort Worth and attended schools there and in Lawton and Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker who loved being with her family and grandkids, making memories. She enjoyed crafts. She was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.
She is survived by her children; Gloria and husband Carlos Orellana, Givens Drennon, Jennie and husband Ryan Brisby Sr., all of Lawton, Lucy Marquez and fiancÈ Joey Gutierrez, Odessa, Texas, and Anthony Marquez Jr., Lawton; 15 grandchildren: Mariana, Candalaria, Celso, Nevaeh, Novella, Destiny, Ryan Jr., Christian, Noe, Cezar, Mariah, Trinitie, Anthony III, Zoe, and Serenitie; siblings: Jorina Paul, Gerald Drennon, Pearl Drennon, Frankie Lee Drennon, Roy H. Drennon Jr.,Lizzie Valenti, Vivian Dawson, Mady Sigworth, Diane Renken, Margaret Hilliard, and Troy Drennon; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rogelio Salcido; and twin Drennon baby boys; two brothers and one sister.
