Youth Leadership Oklahoma visits city

Youth Leadership Oklahoma visited Lawton-Fort Sill this week during the program's weeklong program.

Each year, the program selects the top 52 upcoming seniors from across the state through an extensive application process. They are chosen based on ethnicity, geographic locations and proven leadership through their school and communities. The mission is to develop a hope, pride and responsibility for Oklahoma's future.

The group came into Lawton Monday evening and spent the evening at Laugh Out Loud and ended the evening at Cameron University with an ice cream social hosted by Albert Johnson and Jennifer Holland.

Bright and early Tuesday, the group headed to Fort Sill for early morning physical training followed by breakfast with some of the soldiers in a dining hall. They then spent the rest of the morning touring the EST training facilities and getting the chance to partake in some hands-on training.
