Woman says man hit her with her own cane as she sat at bus stop
A woman told police she'd been attacked with her own cane by a man known as "Willie" early Tuesday morning.
The woman came to the police station around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday and spoke with LPD Officer Timothy Pease. She said the man she knows as "Willie" approached her an hour earlier asking for money while she was sitting at the LATS bus stop at Southwest 4th Street and B Avenue. She said he became aggressive and attacked her with her cane, hitting her in the left shin before leaving. Pease reported the woman had a welt on that shin but she declined medical assistance.
