Sheriff describes fire fight for lives Sunday morning in Cache
CACHE — In the space of about two hours, a murder and assault turned into a fire fight for Comanche County law enforcement lives.
It began when Cache police responded around 4 a.m. Sunday to a call about a double-shooting at a home at the corner of North 8th Street and Oak Street. A man was found dead from a gunshot wound. The woman, later identified as the shooter’s ex-wife, was suffering a gunshot wound to the face.
Comanche County Sheriff Kenny Stradley said the woman was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital where she remains in serious condition.
