Sheperd appointed Comanche County's newest Special District Judge
For Comanche County’s newest Special District Judge, life keeps getting better – especially after receiving word of his new appointment.
On Tuesday, the District Judges of Comanche County appointed Grant Sheperd to the bench as the newest Special District Judge to replace Special Judge Ken Harris who retired on Nov. 30. His swearing-in ceremony is tentatively set for Feb. 4, he said.
Sheperd will be joining Susan Zwaan as Comanche County’s two Special District Judges. In Oklahoma, Special District Judges are appointed by and serve at the direction of the District Judges for each county instead of being elected.
