Rainfall refreshes; more anticipated
NORMAN After a stormy weekend across much of the state, forecasters say parts of Oklahoma may get more rainfall.
The National Weather Service in Norman said showers and thunderstorms Sunday night would likely continue into this morning. Heavy rainfall leading to flooding could be a hazard, and some strong to severe storms are possible.
A flash flood watch remains in effect for much of western and central Oklahoma through tonight. Forecasters say rainfall amounts of 3-6 inches, with locally higher amounts, will be possible. It was an active weather weekend not only in Oklahoma, but across a wide swath of the United States. Widespread rain and thunderstorms settled across the Plains and Mississippi Valley. Tornado warnings were issued in Colorado.
