The community is invited to offer suggestions during a free face-to-face chat about community health concerns with the state health commissioner Monday at Cameron University.
CU event part of statefact gathering process
Dr. Terry Cline and members of the Oklahoma State Board of Health will host a community chat with Southwest Oklahoma residents from 5-7 p.m. at the CETES Conference Room at Cameron University, 2800 W. Gore.
Cline's visit to Lawton is part of the Oklahoma State Department of Health's series of meetings across the state focusing on "what Oklahomans believe are the primary health concerns of their communities," according to the health department. The feedback received will be used to update the Oklahoma Health Improvement Plan.
Residents from Lawton and surrounding areas are urged to attend and provide information on "how to strengthen those community partnerships that will make a difference in the lives and health status of all Oklahomans," said Janette New, health educator at the Comanche County Health Department.
Those unable to attend the meeting can participate in English or Spanish via an online survey at http://chip.health.ok.gov.
