Former car dealership manager wanted for theft by fraud

The former manager of a Lawton car dealership is wanted for four counts of check fraud from his former employer.

The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant Wednesday for Joshua Jones Dornberg, 35, of Lawton, for four counts of uttering a forged instrument, court records indicate. Each count is punishable by up to 2 years in prison and $1,000 fine each, and restitution.

Dornberg, the former manager of Legend Driven Mazda, 5002 Cache Road, is accused of taking $7,700 from the dealership, according to the charges.

Lawton police began to investigate after the dealership’s current general manger reported the company was having fraudulent checks hit its accounts. According to the probable cause affidavit, this was discovered after Dornberg was fired Sept. 4 for stealing customer’s down payments and for sexual harassment of an employee. The checks began arriving before the firing, however, they weren’t discovered until after.
