City road shut down after driver wrecks, hits gas line
Police say a drunk and reckless driver caused a lot of damage and shut down traffic on Lawton's southwest side early Thursday morning.
Lawton police and first responders were called around 12:45 a.m. to a wreck in the 5800 block of West Lee Boulevard. The vehicle's driver went off the roadway on Lee and struck a concrete culvert before hitting a gas line and driving through a wooden fence, Sgt. Tim Jenkins, LPD information officer, said. The vehicle flipped once and came to rest in a wood shed.
