Cameron student exit poll reveals Lawton voting trends
An exit poll conducted by a group of Cameron University students shows a more complicated Lawton political landscape than election results yielded.
Wendy Whitman-Cobb’s public opinion class conducted the poll of Lawton voters at a local voting site Tuesday in hopes of better understanding how and why city residents make their choices at the ballot box. Originally set to conduct a poll at two sites, Whitman-Cobb said the group was forced to cut back at the last minute duew to issues.
“We had some hiccups in the morning, but we worked through them,” she said. “Because of that, we ended up polling at one location. We got a good response, though. We had a lot of people coming up to us and telling us they wanted to participate.”
