Blind businesswoman finds success
Little did Tara Brown know in 2002 that she would be driving down the street and her retina would detach. But it did and her whole world turned upside down.
But Tara’s fighting spirit and her determination to live normally won out and she is the owner of 51 vending machines and the snack bar at the Welcome Center on Fort Sill.
“I was a juvenile counselor, married with a daughter,” Brown said. “During my sixth surgery to re-attach my retina, I contracted glaucoma.”
