AP students at Ike get brain food before tests

Fruit and doughnuts became brain food Friday at Eisenhower High School.

Advanced Placement teachers provided doughnuts, fruit and orange drink for Ike students scheduled to take AP tests over the next two weeks.

The grueling tests are the final part of AP classes in math, science and English sponsored by community partner Northrop Grumman at the school. Students who pass the tests will receive college credit and cash awards from Northrop Grumman.

Dance and cheer squad members, along with members of the percussion section of the band, performed for the event.

David Bear, coordinator of the AP program at Eisenhower High, said 239 Ike students are slated to take the tests.
