Adults earn their diplomas after life throws them curves
There are moments that echo through our lives like waves. Points of light that cast the shadows of our accomplishments out across the endless horizon of our years so that we may always take refuge in their shade. These moments come in different shapes to different people. But for Antney Lester-Basaldua and Shannon Newton, one of these life-altering moments has arrived in the form of a long overdue graduation ceremony.
Tonight, Lester-Basaldua and Newton, along with 47 other students from the Adult Basic Education program, will walk across the stage at The Great Plains Technology Center during the program's graduation ceremony.
