Accident victim critical
A 70-year-old Lawton man was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition following a Monday afternoon wreck in eastern Comanche County.
Glendon Ray Cofer was admitted in critical condition with internal trunk injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Cofer was driving his pickup eastbound on Southeast Bishop Road when he failed to yield from a stop sign at Southeast 75th Street and was struck by a pickup driven by Tiphanie L. Murphy shortly before 4:30 p.m., Trooper Forrest White reported. Cofer was pinned inside his vehicle for approximately 20 minutes before Flower Mound firefighters used the Jaws of Life tool to free him.
