77th Army Band has Veterans Day concert Sunday

As part of Veterans Day weekend, the Pride of Fort Sill will present an energetic concert dedicated to the men and women who have served the nation.

The performance by the 77th Army Band carries the theme, “Duty, Honor, Country.” The McMahon Auditorium Authority and the City of Lawton are sponsoring the concert. This will be a free concert, open to the general public, and no tickets are required. It will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the McMahon Memorial Auditorium, 801 NW Ferris. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.

A couple of numbers will salute U.S. veterans of all eras and branches. The concert will be led by 1st Sgt. Alexis Sprakties and Staff Sgt. Joshua Buxton with patriotic tunes such as “American Salute” and “Duty, Honor, Country.” The concert will also feature the 77th Army Band’s Centerfire Rock Group featuring Sgt. Matthew Wiley on vocals.
