Smooth transitions enabling new football coaches to get off on right foot as kickoff nears
With high school football practices in Oklahoma beginning today, coaches will start getting a better picture of how their team is shaping up heading into the upcoming season.
While every fall proves to be unique in its own way, new head coaches have more hurdles to clear than others.
There are nine new area coaches Matt Terry at Altus, Chris Paddlety at Anadarko, Ethan Smith at Carnegie, Matt Garner at Cyril, J.T. Cobble at Duncan, Rob Renshaw at Elgin, Matt Weber at Marlow, William Dickey at Mangum and Randy Norton at Velma-Alma and one new city team coach Ryan Breeze at Lawton High who have the unique privilege of writing the next chapter for their respective football programs.
