Shooting woes cost Cameron men in setback to Eagles in Challenge

Will Lienhard simply refused to let his team lose.

Oklahoma Christian University’s stocky 6-8 senior center blocked six shots and delivered a key tipin in the final minute Saturday to ensure the Eagles’ 85-79 victory over Cameron University in the Aggie Gym.

Texas A&M-Commerce caught fire in the second half and pulled away for a 76-56 victory over Kansas Newman in the first game of the Lone Star Conference/Heartland Challenge doubleheader.

Cameron climbed out of a pair of 12-point holes in the second half to force three ties. The last came at 73 when Tyus Momoh hit a layup.
