Rodeo no longer regional event
Rodeo is no longer a regional event; in this era, contestants and even stock contractors roam from coast to coast to where fans are waiting to watch the action at various locations, both large and small.
This weekend most of the big names, both contestants and stock, are in Kissemmee, Fla., for the Dodge National Circuit Finals.
One of those in Florida was Maury Tate, who hauled four of his top bulls to the event, but he will be driving back to his “Mo” Betta Rodeo Company Ranch near Apache today to prepare for one of his biggest events of the year.
For the second time Tate and the famed Frontier Rodeo Company are teaming up to host the Liberty National Bank PRCA Extreme Bulls event Friday and Saturday at the Great Plains Coliseum.
The action will begin at 7:30 p.m. both nights and fans will get a chance to see as many as 40 top PRCA bull riders both nights including many of the greatest in the business.
