Davis, Becerra among OCA All-State football selections

After his junior year, Miles Davis had a feeling he’d reach All-State status.

He’d never played running back prior to the 2017 season, but that didn’t delay his coming-out party one bit. He went on to rush for 2,383 yards and 32 touchdowns, averaging nearly 200 yards per game and 8 yards a carry.

Those numbers were quite impressive for a so-called newbie, and they gave Davis the recognition he sought.

“Playing a different position isn’t difficult as long as you’re having fun playing a sport that you love,” Davis said. “I shined, and everybody finally knew who I was.”
