Cameron splits road contests
Both Cameron basketball teams hit the road on Tuesday with the Aggies splitting the contests.
The Cameron men came to life late and utilized a 22-2 second half run to storm back and defeat Arkansas-Fort Smith, 91-86.
Meanwhile, the Aggie women got off to a slow start in San Antonio and couldn’t catch up in a 67-55 to No. 24 St. Mary’s.
For the Aggie men, Jordan Lewis and Chris Royal led the charge.
Lewis, a junior from Houston, Texas, finished the game with 21 points, going an efficient 6-9 from the field, while hitting 4-6 from three and 5-7 from the free throw line. Royal scored all but two of his career-best 15 points in the second half, as the junior finished the game shooting 4-6 from the floor, 1-1 from three, and a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe.
