Cameron softball completes sweep of Texas Women's

The Cameron softball team picked up two victories to complete a series sweep of Texas Woman’s on Friday.

The Aggies won 9-1 in the first game before defeating the Pioneers, 4-1 in the second.

Brenna Busby finished 3-for-7 with three RBIs and two home runs on the day to lead Cameron.

The teams entered the top of the third inning tied at 1 in the opening game. That wouldn’t last long. The Aggies (29-12, 16-8 Lone Star Conference) scored eight unanswered runs to close the game.

The fifth was the biggest scoring inning.

After Khmari Edwards hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run and Callie Busby’s single brought in Brenna Busby, Madyson Marvulli hit a single down the left side for two RBIs.

Alyssa Osterdock hit a solo home run in the seventh to pile on to an already decided outcome.
