Fantastic finishes are becoming old hat for the Cameron University men’s basketball team.
The Aggies were at their best down the stretch again Thursday, rallying from a series of 16-point deficits to wrest an 88-84 Lone Star Conference victory over Eastern New Mexico in the CU Gym.
The win boosts Andrew Brown’s crew to 4-6 in league play and 8-12 overall. Eastern falls to 4-6 and 7-11.
A full-court trapping defense and some key shots swung the momentum toward the Ags. Brown’s crew was staring at a 16-point deficit heading into the final 9 minutes and it was still 12 when Brown drew a technical foul with 8:56 to play.
