Bulldogs roll over CU men
WEATHERFORD—Cameron men might have overlooked previously-winless Southwestern Oklahoma State University entering Saturday’s road game but the Bulldogs showed plenty of muscle in routing the cold-shooting Aggies, 106-90.
Cameron found itself down 17-4 after just six minutes of play in the first half against the Bulldogs. The Aggies continued to shoot just 37.5 percent from the floor in the first frame, going 2-8 from the perimeter, while their opposition shot 55.6 percent from the floor and was 5-13 from three, giving them a 52-38 lead at the half.
The Aggies improved in the second half, scoring 52 points of their own, shooting 42.4 percent from the floor and 8-16 from the perimeter. CU also hit 16 of their 20 foul shots to keep them in the game through the first 10 minutes of the second half. They got to within 10 with an 18-8 run capped by a Zach Dumas Layup at the 14:58 mark, and then cut the deficit to nine on an Andrew Nguyen three.
