Aggies drop another heartbreaker
ODESSA, Texas — Close but no cigar.
That’s been the agonizing storyline of the Cameron women’s basketball team this season as the Aggies dropped another last-second heartbreaker, 66-65, to UT Permian Basin on Thursday night.
Cameron (7-16, 4-11 Lone Star Conference) has suffered five losses by three points or less this season and the past two games — both road conference losses — have been decided by a total of three points.
The Cameron men, meanwhile, didn’t fare much better in the nightcap., falling 95-75 to UT Permian Basin, which blitzed the Aggies for 48 points in the paint while shooting 61 percent from the field.
