7th graders will need shot records to check-in
Check-in for school is this week. For students new to the school system or for all seventh-graders, shot records will need to be presented during check-in.
"In addition to the regular vaccinations (that are usually done before a student even starts school), all seventh-graders are required to have a Tdap (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis) booster," said Brandie O'Connor, Regional director of the Oklahoma Health Departments for seven counties including Comanche County. "There are exemptions and it really depends upon the school. They can do medical and religious exemptions. Those are the main two exemptions."
