Kids aim high at CU aviation camp
A enthusiastic group of young campers is gathered in a circle in front of Cameron University's Nance-Boyer Hall.
It's the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. The sun has warmed the Oklahoma air to a comfortable 90 degrees. The campers, clad in matching blue shirts, shout out the answers to vocabulary questions posed by Cameron University Early Childhood Education students who are serving as camp counselors and teachers for the week. One young boy successfully answers a question and races to the center of the circle as the other kids count down.
