Money Smart seminars slated
Money Smart Week at the Lawton Public Library will feature four seminars to help Southwest Oklahomans become more comfortable with money.
The events begin from noon to 1 p.m. Monday when Dr. Rosemary Bellino-Hall talks about changes in Medicare during the Friends of the Library meeting. Lunch is $2 per person and participants need not be members of Friends of the Library.
At 6 p.m. Monday, Lynn Null will be talking about "Money Habitudes." Null, Comanche County director for the Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension, said the workshop will use a deck of cards to help participants identify attitudes about money and their "money personality type" and spending habits.
There are good and bad things about all the personality types, she said, and the exercise is designed to help participants reach their financial goals.
"It's a positive way to help people develop a healthy relationship with their money," she said.
