Native patriotism on display through March at Kiowa Museum

CARNEGIE — From battling the approach of Western Civilization to serving in the nation's military, the Native American warrior has served to protect his country.

That brave history will be on view through March 2019 at the Kiowa Tribe Museum at the tribal complex in Carnegie.

The National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C. and the Kiowa Tribe are presenting the exhibition “Patriot Nations: Native Americans in Our Nation’s Armed Forces.”

The exhibits official opening kicks off at 4 p.m. Sunday with a reception. The public is welcome to attend. The exhibit will run through March 25, 2019.
