Warriors roll again
ANADARKO - Josh Parton and Brandon Pollard are certainly used to seeing their names together in stories and boxscores.
Friday night was no exception.
Pollard and Parton accounted for five of Anadarko's seven touchdowns as the Warriors continued their tear through regular-season play with a 49-0 win over Clinton Friday night.
"We talked about that tonight," Anadarko head coach Kent Jackson said. "Brandon can just get him the ball and Josh just runs faster when the ball is in the air. When Brandon throws it out there Josh just takes off."
That connection led to touchdown passes of eight and 50 yards. Pollard added a pair of 41-yard touchdown runs and Parton contributed a 75-yard punt return.
"That was just an amazing punt return," Jackson said. "He just really took off."
But the most impressive stat line of the night was likely rushing offense. Anadarko allowed just 17 yards rushing on 18 carries, shutting down Marquiz Simpkins.
"Simpkins had a 35-40 yard run against our (second string) but that was about all they did all night," Jackson said. "We ran a five-man front against them and their double tight formations and our guys did such a good job."
