Tipton wins big but can’t end game early
TIPTON— Tipton’s powerful Tigers may have played longer than expected, but in the end it’s the outcome that matters.
That outcome was an easy—at least it will look that way on paper—62-26, win for Tipton over Coyle in the second round of the Class C playoffs.
The Tigers came out swinging with the desire to let the people of Tipton go home and get warm. That was proven with three straight touchdowns on their first three drives.
A big part of that was the option attack that led to a 76-yard touchdown from Lane Chandler, a 37-yard touchdown from Jeremiah Smith and a 54-yard run from Aaron Hill. In all, the Tigers scored on seven plays of 30 yards or more.
